Introduction and Project Overview
Hi everyone, my name is Gary Simon and I've been a free-lance designer for the last 15 years and I've had the privilege of working with over 1000 clients on a wide variety of projects. In this course, we're going to design and prototype a mobile app using Photoshop and After Effects. We'll be designing several screens for a fictional app called Encryptix, an encrypted messaging service. Initially, we're going to work in Photoshop and design several of the screens that accompany this app, including a Login screen, Active Conversations, the Conversation screen, and Settings. Then we will take one of these screens in After Effects and animate the interface based on user input. Some of the key takeaways from watching this course include learning how to design app mock-ups using Photoshop, applying design fundamentals to create a consistent asthetic for an app, and applying animations in After Effects from layouts prepared in Photoshop. By the end of the training, you will have a solid understanding of designing app mock-ups, as well as prototyping UI animations using After Effects. I'm excited to share these techniques with you. So, let's get started with the first lesson.
